Never Give Up!

In the office where I work many cartoons and humorous articles circulate through the various departments and cubicles. There is one comical drawing that I keep. The point is hysterical, but also meaningful to our life situations.

never give up It is a picture of a stork standing amongst the rippling reeds along a lake. In the stork's mouth, a fat bullfrog protrudes from the stork's long beek. It was apparently an easy catch for the stork's culinary delight, if only the frog's hands weren't clasped around the stork's neck- preventing the stork from swallowing. The moral of the story is, of course, "Never Give Up!" So this is the point of my encouragement to you in this eDevotion.... Never Give Up!

David's words to us are:

"Cast your eyes on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall.

But you, O God, will bring down the wicked into the pit of corruption; bloodthirsty and deceitful men will not live out half their days.

But as for me, I trust in you."

We all could list several areas in which we have felt like giving over the years. Some of us bear mental ailments, like depression. Others bear physical ailments like cancer. As a restorative, swell of fresh Spring winds into our souls, these words can revitalize our thinking. I don't know who and where you are today. So, if you need this encouragement, cast your eyes on the Lord, trust in the Lord, and Never Give Up!
