Middle Lands
There are periods in our lives when we live in the middle lands. It is neither the place where one begins nor the place where one has arrived. It can be a place of great discomfort. Often it is easier to be in the land of beginnings where things are new and bright.

Likewise is it easier to be in the land of arrival because it is a place of joy and contentment. But the middle lands are full of ups and downs. Of roller coasters, of upheaval and challenges. Of uncharted territory.

We don't want to be in the middle lands. We want to be in territory we know, that we have the maps for, that we can navigate with ease. But nonetheless, we find ourselves in the middle lands.

If you find yourself in the middle lands, stop and follow your heart. Ask yourself, "Where is my heart? Is it where it should be? Is it looking to the Lord for direction? Is it resting in the spirit? Is it being obedient to God's will?"

These are the questions we must ask. There is comfort in the answers. We are not alone. God is with us. Seeking us out. Moving us ahead if we allow. Leading the way. And helping us learn from the experiences here in the middle lands.

May God Bless you on your journey. Wherever you may be.
